The memorial features a 9 niche columbarium in the back of the doghouse, in which the cremains of Blue I and Blue II were placed. In addition, bronze plaques were installed on the side of the doghouse to commemorate all previous unnamed Butler Mascots, Blue I, and Blue II. All future Butler Mascots will now have a special place to be honored forever.
Many thanks to Brian Durant and Skky Vierra of Millennium Memorials for an awesome job on the installation of the granite doghouse memorial and bronze plaques. As well as all the staff at Butler University who were responsibility for the foundation, the bronze bulldog statue and the brick.
Last, but not least, let’s not forget Butler III, Butler’s current mascot, who offered his valuable input during a visit to the construction site as noted in one of our photos.

In 1959 the business converted to monuments only and branches were opened in Seymour, Madison and Sellersburg.
